FED Ambassador: Sarah Monk is Chief Strategy Officer of The Edwin Group and has worked in the education sector for 34 years. Sarah started her career working in two local authorities, eventually becoming Head of Education Finance for Darlington Local Authority. In 2005, Sarah joined the ground-breaking Darlington Education Village as Vice Principal, working across an inclusive group of schools (primary, secondary and special) where she was one of the first to achieve NPQH without having previously been a teacher. In 2008, Sarah became a consultant for the National College for School Leadership helping develop and promote the newly emerging role of School Business Manager. In 2010, Sarah then went on to co-found and scale an education services business delivering a range of professional services to schools and MATs. Sarah joined Edwin in January 2023 to support Liam and the team with the next stage of growth. Sarah has an MBA in Public Sector Management and is Chair of Finance for a 35 school Catholic MAT, as well as being a member at an 8 school MAT.
