Roz Cordner is Director of Education at Southwark Diocesan Board of Education. Roz has been Diocesan Director of Education at the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education (“SDBE”) since 2021 and has worked in education for over 25 years.

She initially joined SDBE’s School Effectiveness team as Primary Adviser in 2015 having served as a headteacher in a diocesan primary school, in Merton, for just over ten years. During this period she worked as a Local Leader of Education in Merton and Lewisham and supported and led another local community primary school nearby for 3 years.

Prior to that Roz taught in church and community schools in Durham for four years; firstly at a junior school in an old mining village in Stanley and then in a primary school not far from Durham Cathedral.
