SYSTEMS ARE DOING IT FOR THEMSELVES: GREAT PRACTICE FOR LONG-TERM CHANGE
We are all aware of the huge challenges across the education system. The 4th Annual FED National Education Summit will look at how people are devising their own solutions to some of these issues.
We are particularly interested in ideas that go beyond individual settings and offer affordable solutions that could make good, long-term policy for an incoming government.
We recognise that the best answers to problems often come from those most involved in them and closest to lived experiences.
We know also that scaling up or replicating ideas is not so simple, that place plays a huge part and that this is often misunderstood by centrally driven solutions.
We will focus on practical solutions to several key contemporary challenges as well as offering the tools to gather and use good ideas.
Key areas we will be looking at solutions for include: recruitment and retention; the attendance crisis; leadership development; responding to poverty; financial wellbeing; building emotionally healthy schools; working with other services; SEND processes and practices.
