In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of State Education in England we hosted a virtual event in which numerous key figures across the Education, Political, Business and Third Sector came together. Each individual provided an insight into why they feel Education is so important to them, why they are celebrating this momentous occasion, the things they feel we have achieved and the changes that they think need to be made as we work together to build a long term plan for Education.
In this segment, Dame Julia Cleverdon, Vice President of Business in the Community and Chair of the Literacy Trust reflects on the importance of celebrating universal education in the UK. She reflects on what this means for our future, on her own experiences and what she happened in her career and lifetime to make this achievement so momentous.
