FED Ambassador: Steve Smith joined SIAS in January 2022 as Managing Director, under his stewardship SIAS has quickly become one of the fastest growing End-Point-Assessment and Awarding Organisations nationally, positively disrupting traditional models and markets through the introduction of a new and different approach awarding and assessment.
Steve is passionate about technical & vocational education and has worked in the skills and awarding sector since 2007, previously holding leadership positions at global brands such as Cambridge Assessment (OCR), NCC Education, and ABE, where he was instrumental in driving forward growth and implementing positive change across both domestic and international education markets.
Always results driven, Steve enjoys structuring collaborations, partnerships and joint ventures that create value at scale, always putting customers and a laser focus on practical implementation at the heart of his approach.
As and ex-professional cricketer Steve remains involved in the game, which combined with a golf obsession, and being a Dad to eight children, keeps any ‘down-time’ to a minimum!
