Nick Mills, Reading Development Consultant at Daisy Education. Nick currently works as a Reading Development Consultant at Daisy Education, supporting schools in developing reading, vocabulary and comprehension through the online reading development programme Reading Plus.
Nick was previously a KS3–KS5 teacher with 28 years’ classroom experience and 25 years as a senior leader. Previous roles include History and Politics Teacher, Assistant Head, Senior Vice Principal, Acting Head Teacher and ASCL Regional Representative for Gateshead.
Nick also served as a Senior Examiner for AQA. Led and line-managed a SEND department for 10 years. Expertise includes reading development, KS2–KS3 curriculum transition, cross-curricular reading, timetabling and curriculum planning.
