Ashraf Ali MBE FRSA currently serves as the Strategic Partnership Manager on the senior management team at the READ Foundation, an international charity focused on implementing sustainable educational development projects for marginalised communities both in the UK and globally. The organisation operates in 12 countries, operating 450 schools and providing education to approximately 140,000.
Before joining the READ Foundation, Ashraf was a key member of the senior management team at the British Muslim Heritage Centre for several years, where he played a significant role in the organisation’s growth and development.
Ashraf is widely recognised for his leadership in the ground-breaking project that researched, documented, and created an exhibition highlighting the contributions of hundreds of thousands of Muslim soldiers who served Britain during World War I. This project earned numerous accolades, including the ‘Times Higher Education Awards 2019: Research Project of the Year.’
