Dr Claire Tasker is Headteacher of High Storrs School, a large comprehensive school in Sheffield. High Storrs School is characterised by strong outcomes and progress, a creative curriculum and a strong emphasis on belonging and inclusion.
In 2025 The Telegraph named HSS the best non-selective secondary school in England. Claire completed both her Masters and EdD at Sheffield Hallam University. The former focused on women into headship and the latter on values-led leadership.
Claire has taught in history in a number of state schools since 1997, serving in a variety of senior leadership positions since 2003. Claire is a keen supporter of WomenEd and has contributed to a wide range of leadership development programmes, many focused on supporting and developing female leaders. Claire is a graduate of Cambridge University and has a PGCE from Oxford University.
