Javid Mahdavi is a strategic leader in education and technology with over 15 years’ experience spanning ICT consultancy, school governance, capital programmes, and public sector partnerships. As Managing Director of Nexus Associates, he leads national programmes supporting schools, academies, and trusts to design and deliver sustainable, future-ready digital infrastructure.
Deeply committed to equity, inclusion, and social mobility, Javid is passionate about how technology, and particularly artificial intelligence, can be used responsibly to widen access, improve learner outcomes, and create fairer opportunities for all. He is a member of the AI in Education at Oxford University Hub, the Education Estates Advisory Group, and an Ambassador for the Foundation for Education Development (FED). In these roles, he contributes to national conversations on the effective and responsible use of technology across education.
Beyond his professional role, Javid serves as Chair of Trustees for a UTC-only Multi-Academy Trust and Trustee of an SEND-only Multi-Academy Trust, reflecting his long-standing dedication to inclusive governance. He is also a collaborator with The Talent Foundry, a social mobility charity that helps young people from under-served backgrounds to build confidence, develop skills, and connect with employers who value talent and potential over background.
