Sarah is the Chief Strategy Officer of The Edwin Group and has worked in the education sector for more than 35 years.
She began her career in two local authorities before becoming Head of Education Finance for Darlington Local Authority. In 2005 she joined the ground-breaking Darlington Education Village as Vice Principal, working across an inclusive federation of primary, secondary and special schools. During this time she was one of the first nationally to achieve NPQH without having previously been a teacher.
Sarah later became a consultant for the National College for School Leadership before co-founding and scaling a successful education services business supporting schools and multi-academy trusts.
Sarah joined Edwin in January 2023 to help lead the organisation through its next phase of growth. Sarah and the Edwin team focus on advising school and trust leaders on trust growth, trust mergers, culture and wellbeing and complex HR matters. Edwin is also working nationally with trusts on their trust-wide organisational design with a focus on delivering value for money and building capacity for inclusion at scale.
Sarah is a trustee at a 35 school trust, where she Chairs the Finance committee.
