Lorenzo is the Digital and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Lead at the Tony Blair Institute. He specialises in leading the development of large-scale digital learning platforms and in evaluating the impact of educational activities designed for young people. He is interested in research concerning experiences involving innovative technological tools that leverage the power of the Internet in education to create opportunities for dialogue and intercultural exchange. He has a decade of experience building accessible and inclusive digital spaces. He holds a BSc in Economics (La Sapienza University, Rome) and a MSc in International Development and Social Anthropology (Birkbeck College, University of London).
Within the Tony Blair Institute, he has led the digital strategy and monitoring and evaluation efforts of Generation Global, a pioneering global citizenship and intercultural dialogue programme that has reached over 600,000 young people. He has led the development of several digital platforms for students and teachers and launched a mobile app available to 50,000+ young people from over 100 countries.
