‘Conversations with purpose’ sets the theme for the 5th Annual FED National Education Summit. Anchored in the FED National Education Futures Projects, the day will open with big questions that spark thought-provoking panels, meaningful dialogue and powerful opportunities to connect.

Alex Bellos
Author & Broadcaster
Alex is a British writer, broadcaster and mathematics communicator. He is the author of books about Brazil and mathematics, as well as having a column in The Guardian newspaper.
James Caan CBE
Serial Entrepreneur
James is the founder and CEO of Hamilton Bradshaw, a leading private equity firm based in Mayfair, London. Established in 2003, the firm specialises in buyouts, venture capital, turnarounds and real estate investment, backing ambitious management teams and growing businesses across the UK and internationally.
Steve Chalke
British Baptist Minister
Steve is a British Baptist minister, social activist, broadcaster and founder of the Oasis Charitable Trust, known for linking faith with community change. Since 1985 he has led housing, education, healthcare, anti-trafficking and social justice work in the UK and abroad, and is an MBE, author and media commentator.
Dame Julia Cleverdon
Campaigner
Dame Julia is a passionate and practical campaigner who has gained an international reputation for “connecting the unconnected,” inspiring individuals and organisations to work together for the common good. Dame Julia became the Chair of The National Lottery Community Fund in November 2024.
Dina Ghobashy
Director of Global Education Transformation, Microsoft
Dina manages Digital Transformation strategy for education systems at Microsoft. In her role, she empowers education leaders worldwide to innovate education and educate students for innovation through resources and programs that accelerate sustainable and scalable digital transformation.
Lord Jim Knight
Director, Suklaa
Jim is a British Labour and Co-operative politician, educator, and peer, known for his work in education policy and digital technology. He has served as a government minister and later became a leading figure in the education technology sector, driving innovation and reform.
Andreas Shleicher
Director of Education & Skills, OECD
Andreas is a German mathematician, statistician, and education researcher. He is the OECD’s director for education and skills and special adviser on education policy to the secretary-general, shaping global education strategy and policy from Paris.
